Six core services, one local crew
From a clearance trim on a maple growing into the Duke Energy line along Holly Hill Drive to a routine takedown out near Creekside Park, here’s what we cover across Archdale. Every quote is free.
Tree Removal
Takedowns sized for Archdale’s typical lot. A lot of the trees we drop here have grown up between the house and the road, or between the house and a neighbor’s fence, so we section them down piece by piece with ropes instead of just felling them. Mature maples, oaks, and pines off Balfour Drive and around the Trinity-Archdale corridor are the usual call.
Learn MoreTree Trimming & Line Clearance
This is the big one in Archdale. A lot of the older suburban streets have trees that have grown into the power and cable lines overhead, and Duke Energy’s right-of-way trim only covers what feeds back to their wire. The rest is on you. We do the careful drop-cut work that keeps your service line clear without butchering the canopy.
Learn MoreStump Grinding
We grind stumps below grade so the spot can be sodded, planted, or paved over. This is the one service we can usually price over the phone if you send a photo with a tape measure or a shoe next to it for scale. Helpful for the smaller Archdale lots where every square foot of yard counts.
Learn MoreStorm Emergency
Limb on a Duke Energy line during a summer thunderstorm? Pine across the driveway out toward Salem Church Road? Call us first. We answer day or night, get a truck rolling south on US-311 from High Point, and tarp the roof if the storm split something onto your shingles.
Learn MoreLand Clearing
Smaller scope in Archdale than the rural cleanouts further out, but it still comes up. Backyard thickets that have run wild over a couple summers, a wooded side lot a homeowner wants to open back up, or a sliver between two houses ready for new construction. We cut, chip, and haul it all off.
Learn MoreDebris Removal
Wood, limbs, and brush hauled off. Includes the morning-after pickup once a thunderstorm has finished tossing limbs across your Archdale yard, plus the jobs where another contractor left the cleanup for you. We chip what we can and load the rest into the truck.

A High Point crew that knows Archdale
Archdale is the next town south of our shop, straight down US-311. About five miles door to door. We make that drive often enough that the route is muscle memory now, past the southern edge of High Point and into the suburban grid around Balfour Drive and Main Street. The work has its own flavor out here. Lots are smaller than what you find in Trinity, the houses sit closer to the road, and most properties carry one or two mature trees that the original owner planted in the seventies. Those trees grew into the power and cable lines a long time ago. That’s the call we get most often in Archdale.
Clearance work is the bread and butter. A maple growing into the service drop on Holly Hill Drive, a sweetgum dropping limbs into the Duke Energy line along Salem Church Road, a pine leaning toward the neighbor’s roof off Eden Terrace. Duke’s right-of-way crews only handle the primary wire that feeds the neighborhood, so anything between the pole and your meter is on you. We do the careful drop-cut work to clear the line without leaving the canopy looking like it lost a fight. Summer storm cleanup is the other half of the calendar, especially the squalls that roll up the US-311 corridor. Trinity is the next town northwest along the corridor, same crew, same trucks, so if you have property across the line we cover that too. See our Trinity page if that’s you. Need to talk to a person? FAQ
Common Questions from Archdale Homeowners
Don’t see your question? Call us at (336) 259-8460.
Are you fully insured?
Yes. We’re fully insured, with current coverage. We can email a Certificate of Insurance to you or your HOA before we start work. Just ask when you call.
Can you trim trees away from the power line on my Archdale property?
Yes, and it’s most of what we do in Archdale. Duke Energy’s right-of-way crews only handle the primary wire feeding the neighborhood. Anything between the pole and your meter, plus your cable and phone lines, is the homeowner’s responsibility. We do that work carefully. If a limb is touching a live wire or arcing, call Duke first to drop the power to your service, then call us to do the cut. We won’t touch a live line.
Do you give free estimates in Archdale?
Every quote is free, anywhere in Archdale. A clearance trim on a maple along Balfour Drive gets the same in-person look as a takedown out by Creekside Park. We want to see the tree, the truck access, and what’s around it before we put a number on the job. Stump grinding is the one exception, since we can usually quote you a price over the phone if you send a photo with something for scale.
How fast can you get to my Archdale address?
For routine work, usually within 2 to 4 business days depending on weather and the schedule. Archdale is the next town south on US-311, about five miles from our High Point shop, so an in-person look the same day is realistic if you call before lunch. For storm damage or anything blocking a driveway or hanging over a roof, we’ll get someone out the same day whenever we can, often within the hour.
Do you handle storm damage at night or on weekends?
Yes. If a tree is on your house, your car, or a power line anywhere in Archdale, call (336) 259-8460 any time. We answer through the night. Eight minutes down US-311 means we can usually have a crew there while the storm is still moving east.
What does it cost to remove a tree?
It depends mostly on the tree’s size, how close it is to your house, and how technical the rigging gets. A small pine in an open yard is on the low end. A 60-foot oak hanging over a roof is on the high end. Most Archdale lots land in the middle, since the trees are mature but the houses are close enough that we usually rope sections down piece by piece rather than felling them whole. Free written estimate before we start.
Do you clean up after the job?
Yes. Standard cleanup is included. We haul off the wood and big debris, rake up the small stuff, and run a magnet over the driveway if we used the chipper there. If you want the wood left for firewood, just let us know.
Do you grind the stump too?
Stump grinding is a separate service that we usually quote alongside the removal. It’s optional. Some folks keep the stump as a planter or table base. Grinding is faster and cheaper if we do it the same day we drop the tree, and on a smaller Archdale lot it’s the difference between getting your yard back or losing a corner of it.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Archdale?
In Archdale, you don’t need a permit to take down a tree on your own private property. There’s no historic-district tree ordinance like Winston-Salem’s Old Salem area. The one situation worth checking is if the tree is in the road right-of-way along your street, which the city handles. Mention your address when you call and we’ll let you know if anything special applies, plus handle any paperwork if it’s needed.
What if a tree falls on my house?
Call us first, then your insurance. We can tarp the roof, get the tree off safely, and document everything for your claim. We’ve worked with most major insurers in NC and know what they need to approve the work.
