We clear the lot. We leave it ready for what’s next.

Chainsaws for the canopy, chipper for the brush, skid steer loads the trunks onto the dump trailer, stumps ground in-place to the depth the next contractor needs, debris hauled, final grading pass. Every Lexington lot clear covers the six items below.

  1. Property Lines + Tree Survey in Writing

We walk the property with you, agree on the line of clearing, mark the keep trees with ribbon, photograph everything. The line we agreed to is the line we cut to, period. No “oops, we took the wrong oak.”

  2. Chainsaw the Canopy, Chipper for the Brush

Climbers and ground crew section the canopy down with chainsaws. Limb material runs through the chipper into the dump truck. No burn pile, no smoke, no neighbor calling the city — the brush leaves with us in chip form.

  3. Trunk Drop + Cleanup in One Pass

Once the canopy is down and chipped, the standing trunks come down. Logs cut to length and either left for you (firewood) or loaded by the skid steer onto the dump trailer for haul. Your call before we start.

  4. Stumps Ground In-Place, To the Depth You Need

4 inches for lawn-ready, 8 to 12 inches for sod or fence-post lines, 12 to 18 inches for replanting depth, or ground flush for a builder pad. One trip, no return visit, no separate stump invoice.

  5. Debris Removal + Final Grading Pass

What doesn’t mulch in place — the trunks, the root balls, the stray brush from cleanup — gets loaded and hauled. We do a final pass with the skid-steer to rake the surface, smooth the ruts, and leave the lot grading-ready for the next trade.

  6. Stake-Ready Handoff to the Next Contractor

Builder, fence company, landscaper, surveyor — we coordinate with whoever’s coming next so the lot lands in the right state. Final photos sent same day to you and (if you authorize) directly to your GC.

What Our Neighbors Say

Real reviews from real Triad homeowners. We’re proud to earn each one.

I was extremely pleased with the service I received. They cut down several trees and cleared a large section of bushes in my backyard. They were pleasant and efficient and the cost was very reasonable.

Very professional, came and did what we discussed at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Two things most tree crews can’t promise.

In a trade full of one-truck operators and “I’ll call you back next week” estimates, we built 316 Trees on two principles that protect your property and your time.

The 316 Trees Promise

Fully insured. Same-day quotes. Every time.

Two things kill homeowner confidence: the fear of getting stuck with damage you didn’t cause, and the wait for an estimate that never comes. We fixed both.

Fully Insured, Triad-Wide

Fully insured on every job. Ask for our certificate before we start; we keep it ready.

Same-Day Quotes

Call us, you’ll have a number today. For most jobs in High Point, Greensboro, or Winston-Salem we walk the site the same day you call.

Locally Owned

A real Triad crew, not a franchise or call-center referral. When you call, you talk to the same guys doing the work.

Heavy Equipment

Skid steers, chainsaws and rigging, towable chipper, dump truck, dump trailer, stump grinder. Owned fleet — same crew, same gear, every job.

Graded-Ready Handoff

Canopy mulched, stumps ground, debris hauled, final grading pass with the skid-steer. The lot lands ready for the next trade — fence, foundation, sod, or replant.

Triad-Wide Service

High Point shop. Same crew covers Lexington, Welcome, Reeds, Tyro, and the US-52 corridor across Davidson County.

How big is the lot? What’s coming next?

A backyard pool clear is a one-day skid-steer job. A builder’s 3-acre subdivision cut is a week of multi-trailer haul-outs. Here’s how we size a clear so you know what you’re paying for before we ever walk the lines in Lexington.

Cat 01

Small Lot

Under 1/4 acre · Skid steer + chainsaws · 1-day job

In-fill teardown sites, big residential backyards being cleared for a pool or addition, small commercial pads. One day, skid steer + chainsaw + chipper, stumps ground in-place. Most common in the in-fill teardown blocks off Eastchester and the older neighborhoods near Main.

Cat 03

Large Clear

1 acre+ · Multi-trailer haul-out · Multi-day clear

Builder-development clears, big rural cuts, agricultural conversions. Multiple chainsaw crews on the canopy, chipper running all day into the dump truck, skid steer cycling trunks onto the dump trailer in repeat haul-outs. Multi-day jobs with daily progress photos to you. Coordination with your civil engineer or GC so the grading hits the plans.

20 minutes down US-52

Lexington is on the equipment-relocation route

The Lexington lot clear runs south on US-52 / I-85 Business from the High Point shop, about twenty minutes — down into Davidson County and the old mill town. The skid steer and the chipper roll on the trailer by morning, the dump truck pulls in behind for the haul-outs, and a Cotton Grove landowner walking the lines Monday usually has the lot cleared by end of week. Lexington gets the same equipment-relocation honesty High Point gets.

Land clearing in Lexington splits two ways. The mill-village in-fill work clusters in the old core — Erlanger, the Robbins side, the streets off Main — where small backyard reopens, side-yard clears for a pool or an addition, careful section work around tight access. The Davidson County rural fringe runs the acreage work — Cotton Grove Road, Tyro, Reeds, Welcome — where landowners need one to five acres of overgrown sweetgum, pine, and tulip poplar cleared to a graded handoff. Bigger lots, faster haul-out passes, multi-day crew-days for the multi-acre Large Clear jobs. Either way the stumps come out, the debris hauls out, and the lot leaves grading-ready.

Land Clearing — Common Questions

Don’t see your question? Call us at (336) 259-8460.

How much does land clearing cost in Lexington?

Price tracks the acreage inside the marked lines and the canopy density. Small Lot (under 1/4 acre) is the quickest job. Standard Lot (1/4 to 1 acre) is the most common. Large Clear (1 acre+) is the biggest, scaling with crew-day count and the number of haul-out trips. Written firm price after we walk the lines with you — request a free estimate.

Will I get a burn pile?

No. The chipper runs the brush into the dump truck and we haul it off the lot. No burn permit, no smoke, no neighbor calling the city. The brush leaves with us in chip form.

What about the stumps?

Ground in-place on the same trip, no separate visit, no separate invoice. Tell us what’s coming next (lawn / sod / fence / replant / builder pad) and we’ll match the depth to it.

Do you need a survey or plot plan?

A current survey is best. If you don’t have one, we walk the property with you and the deed map, mark the lines with ribbon and stakes, and photograph everything before the first cut. We do not clear past a marked line, ever — even if you tell us to mid-job.

Can you save specific trees?

Yes, and we’d rather you tell us which ones. Walk the lot with us, mark the keep trees with the orange ribbon we bring, and we work around them. The chainsaw crew follows the ribbon.

How long does a clear take?

Small Lot: 1 day. Standard Lot: 2 to 3 days. Large Clear: 4+ days, sometimes 1 to 2 weeks for the bigger builder developments. Daily progress photos go to you and (if you authorize) to your GC.

Do you coordinate with my builder or fence company?

Yes. Tell us who’s coming next and what state they need the lot in (graded to plan, stake-ready, sod-ready, fence-line-cleared). We hand off directly. Final photos to your GC same day.

What about permits?

In most Davidson County and City of Lexington jurisdictions, land clearing on a single-family parcel doesn’t need a separate permit, but new construction does. We’re not the permit-puller — that’s the builder’s lane — but we can tell you the typical Davidson County process and which agency to start with. Inside city limits the locate side is Lexington Utilities; outside city the utility is usually EnergyUnited or Duke Energy — we call the right one before any cut near a wire.

Do you work around utilities, septic, or wells?

Yes. We mark Duke Energy lines (call 811 before we start), septic field lines, and well heads with flags before any equipment runs. Above-ground utility setbacks (35 feet from live wires) are absolute.

Do you clear lots outside Lexington?

Yes. Our land-clearing routes run from the High Point shop south down US-52, plus the Davidson County communities around Lexington — Welcome, Reeds, Tyro, Linwood, Wallburg. Multi-acre rural clears go further when the job justifies the equipment-relocation. Call and we’ll tell you straight what the drive does to the quote.
