What you get

We take the tree down. You keep a clean yard.

From the first cut to the final rake, every Triad removal covers the six items below.

  1. Written Quote After We Walk the Tree

We look at the lean, the drop zone, and the access, then give you one firm number in writing. No per-cut math, no day-of surprises.

  2. Sectional Takedown Near the House & Lines

Open-yard trees come down in one piece. Anything over the roof, the fence, or a power line is rigged down in controlled sections on ropes, piece by piece.

  3. Full Debris Haul-Off, Same Day

Limbs, trunk, and chips leave with us the day we drop the tree. You don’t get a pile left at the curb to deal with later.

  4. Lawn & Driveway Protected

Plywood and mats under the equipment and the drop zone. No ruts in the lawn, no cracked driveway when we pull the truck out.

  5. Stump Ground Flush on Request

Want the stump gone too? We grind it below grade as a separate line item so you only pay for it if you want it — quoted up front, not bolted on after.

  6. One Price, Pay After You Approve

One written number for the whole removal. Walk the yard with us when we’re done, then settle up. Cash, check, or card.

316 Tree Services

Two things most tree crews can't promise.

In a trade full of one-truck operators and "I'll call you back next week" estimates, we built 316 Tree Services on two principles that protect your property and your time.

The 316 Tree Services Promise

Owned equipment. Same crew, every job.

Two things kill a tree-removal job: the wrong machine showing up, and the bait-and-switch where the crew you hired isn't the crew that arrives. Neither happens with us.

We Own the Right Machines

Skid steers, dump trucks, dump trailer, chipper, stump grinders — all owned, all on site. We bring the right machine instead of forcing the wrong one into the job.

Our Crew Runs Your Job

We answer the phone, walk your yard, and stay on the job through cleanup. Land-clearing background — we’ve dropped thousands of trees across the Triad since 2020. Same crew, quote to cleanup.

Fully Insured

Fully insured on every removal. We email the certificate to you, your HOA, or your insurance adjuster before we start — just ask.

Same-Day Quotes

Call before noon and we walk the site that afternoon. You get a written number the same day — free, no obligation.

Clean Job Site

Chips hauled, debris loaded, yard raked, driveway swept. The spot looks better than when we showed up.

Triad-Wide Service

High Point shop. Same crew covers Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and every town between.

What Our Neighbors Say

Real reviews from real Triad homeowners. We’re proud to earn each one.

Walter and his son did a great job cutting my 2 large trees down all the way to the stump. His price was very reasonable and his customer service was great. I will use him again and I will recommend him to friends and colleagues.

What kind of removal job is yours?

A 25-foot backyard pine is a completely different job than a 70-foot oak leaning toward your house. Here’s how we size removals so you know what you’re getting into before we ever show up.

Cat 01

Small Removal

Under 30 ft · Single tree · Open access

A small tree in an open yard, no obstacles. Straight fell or single-rope climb, single drop zone, in and out the same day. Common for dead ornamentals, smaller pines, and yard trees under 30 feet.

Tree Removal FAQ

The questions we hear most often before a quote. If yours isn’t here, call us — we’ll answer in plain language.

How much does tree removal cost?

Small ornamentals are on the low end. Mature hardwoods over a house or in a tight spot are on the high end. The only way to know your specific number is for us to look — the estimate is free and same day.

Do you do emergency removals?

Yes. If a tree is on your house, car, or driveway, call us first at (336) 259-8460 — we answer 24/7. We can usually get a crew out the same day and tarp the roof if it needs it. Insurance documentation is included.

Is the stump included in the price?

Stump grinding is quoted as a separate line item so you can take it or leave it. Most customers add it on the same trip — we’re already there with the grinder — and we grind below grade so you can sod or plant over the spot.

Do you haul the debris off?

Always, and it’s included in the quote. Every chip, limb, and round goes with us when we leave. If you want to keep the log rounds for firewood or save the chips for mulch, just tell us before we start.

Are you fully insured?

Yes — fully insured on every job, every crew member. We can email the certificate to you, your HOA, or your insurance adjuster before we show up.

Do I have to be home when you do the work?

Only if you want to be. Plenty of our customers approve the written quote, hand us the gate code, and come home to a clean yard. We send before/after photos either way and you only pay once it’s done.

How fast can you get out for a quote?

Same day in most cases — call before noon and we’re usually on your property that afternoon. For removals that aren’t emergencies we can also schedule out a couple of days if that works better for your calendar.

Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

For most residential removals on private property in High Point, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and the surrounding towns, no permit is required. The exceptions are protected trees (a few cities flag champion or heritage trees), trees in the public right-of-way between the sidewalk and the street, and anything inside a designated historic district. HOAs vary — some want written notice, some don’t care.

Tell us your address when you call and we’ll tell you what we know. If you’re still not sure, your city’s planning department can confirm in a 10-minute phone call.

What makes one removal cost more than another?

Four things move the price more than anything else:

Size. A 30-foot pine and an 80-foot oak are different jobs — more height means bigger equipment, more climb time, and more debris to haul.

Access. If we can back the bucket truck up to the tree, it’s faster. If we have to climb and rig because of a fence, a slope, or no driveway, it takes longer.

Proximity. A tree in open yard drops in one piece. A tree six feet from your roof or under a power line comes down in sections, piece by piece, on ropes.

Hazards. Dead wood, storm cracks, hung-up limbs, and unstable lean all change how we approach the cut — usually slower and with more rigging.

Stump grinding and a few specialty add-ons (firewood-length log rounds, mulch left on site) are quoted as separate line items so you only pay for what you want.
